Description

This person will deliver solutions through data and analytics that are aligned to companys priorities, developing a thorough understanding of all areas of the business and how they interact. This person will create business value by providing stakeholders with timely information, data and actionable insights which help drive growth, improve customer experience, increase operational efficiency, and mitigate risk.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible to:

· Maintain updated 13 Week Cash Flow projection, and review it with the CFO, CEO, Skylark representatives, and others as directed. Periodically evaluate projected vs. actual Cash Flow and make process improvements.

· Complete bank reconciliations & daily cash reporting as well as key support processes in cash disbursements such as recommended items for payment.

· Use the full range of data available from across the company plus external data sources to develop and deliver action-prompting reports that provide easily understood information to executives and managers in all departments, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and dashboards

· Collaborate with executives and managers in all areas of the business to help establish the key performance metrics for each area, the information currently available and missing but needed, and the report formats that can be most useful for them to understand and manage their respective areas and their contribution to the business as a whole.

· Support the executive leadership team by identifying trends, recommending improvements, and ensuring continual process optimization (improving process inefficiencies)

· With the CFO, prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for the Leadership Team, PE sponsor, and lenders.

· Involvement with the Annual budgeting process.

· Assist with development of business forecasts as needed, including financial projections for the multi-year Growth Plan, major Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects, and potential acquisitions

· Support the preparation of financial analysis and review of all major Capital Expenditure projects, with the corresponding executives.

· Develop and distribute sales analytics reports, analyzing revenues and margins according to regions/states/metro areas, product lines and specific products, types of customers, etc.

· Analyze pricing and gross margins (as % of Net Sales) and provide insightful recommendations on improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting or Finance; and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA is a plus but not required

· Must be excellent in data analytics, visualization for clear reporting, and interaction with non-analytical colleagues (internal customers).

· Experience with diverse analytics methodologies and approaches. Expert ability to connect data & information to business metrics/results.

· Extensive knowledge and understanding of good financial planning and analysis processes.

· Understands interaction of different components of manufacturing business, and how that can impact financial results. Strong understanding of cost elements & cost accounting is strongly preferred.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access. Proficiency in PowerBI or similar is a plus but not required

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

· Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills, and ability manage multiple priorities

· Strong team player able to collaborate with individuals at all levels within the organization

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· IT acumen and familiarity with various systems for aggregating and synthesizing data

· Self-starter, driven by continuous process improvement

· Must be able provide examples of detailed analysis and implementation of process improvement in prior roles

· Position will be based at the company’s new Headquarters in the Dallas Metro area and will involve up to 10% travel to the manufacturing sites and distribution centers.

· This role is available for hybrid work, remote 2 days a week and in the office 3 days a week after initial orientation phase.
