Description
HireWorks has partnered with a large utility company in Louisiana who is seeking a Gas Supply Planning Manager.
Responsibilities
Utilize a variety of machine learning (neural network, decision tree, clustering, etc.) and advanced statistical techniques to manage all aspects of load planning forecasting
Responsible for data mining and analysis using tools to build and implement models for load planning forecasting
Utilize statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets for load planning forecasting
Provide business units with regulatory support for data requests, including historical weather and volumetric data
Maintain significant knowledge of database concepts and data visualization techniques to extract, cleanse and manipulate data from multiple operational systems and data repositories
Use data analytics tools to build new dashboards, reports and any ad-hoc requests
Participate in decisions concerning data collections, reporting methodology and data analysis
Develop strategies, models and templates around load forecasting and capacity planning
Utilize proprietary load forecast to manage all aspects of load planning, including pipeline transportation, storage determination, and long-term supply requirements (daily, monthly, annually). Create and maintain daily volumetric database.
Use statistical analysis to create short-term forecasts to assist with daily gas supply purchase decisions for all Atmos divisions
Responsible for all statistical modeling and Gas Supply data management related to usage weather and customer class
Responsible for all data analytics within Gas Supply and manages all machine learning functions
Provide regulatory testimony supporting the company's forecasts and decisions
Develop and monitor functional area budgets to ensure efficient utilization of resources
Plan and direct the achievement of area goals and objectives within established company policies
Hire, develop, train, motivate and evaluate the performance of assigned employees
Qualifications
Master’s degree in business, statistics, or a related field and four years related experience; or
Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, or a related field and five years related experience
